Edinburgh Castle and Grassmarket Tea towel

£13.50
This product is sold out

A contemporary Edinburgh Castle tea towel featuring Edinburgh Castle and the Grassmarket, in my hand drawn style. Edinburgh Castle was built during the 12th century by David I, son of Saint Margaret of Scotland. The Grassmarket originated back in 1477, when it was used as market place to sell horses and cattle. Later, in 1660, the Grassmarket became the official site for public executions - pretty gruesome! This fascinating place is known as the ‘Old Town’ of Edinburgh and is one of Scotland’s biggest tourist attractions.

A perfect gift for residents or visitors of Edinburgh, or those who appreciate architecture!  This is a large and practical, good quality tea towel that would look good in any home.

Titled 'Thistle' this purple tea towel is 760mm x 480mm and comes with a hanging loop.  It is 100% cotton and manufactured in Scotland.
